Ashamed? Not me! No way!

ASHAMED? NOT ME, NO WAY!!!
©AMKCH

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation’ of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (gentile ~ everyone else).

Rom 5:1-8 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

~~~~~~
Knowing all that Christ did for us, how could we possibly be ashamed to call Him our Brother?, our Messiah? our King?
What did He do? He healed the sick, raised the dead, died, and rose again from the grave for us… for our justification, for our purification, for our forgiveness. The Gospels, as well as ancient historical texts tell of these. There are descendants of those same apostles and disciples and followers of Christ, living today, who attest to Him also! And why shouldn’t they?
When we study God’s Word, I mean truly study it, God touches us and teaches us Himself.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Many times He has done this for me. I would be reading a scripture, and He would tell me: “Ok, go here (naming a passage). I would go there, and find exactly what I had been looking for. Or, He would teach me something completely new to me. God gives us a certain measure of faith. When we need more for a certain situation we are in, He gives us more… We need to trust in HIM to show us the truth.
I am and will continue to be a bold witness for God, for Christ Jesus, and for the TRUTH of His Word. I am convinced beyond any doubt. There is nothing that will change my mind! The following may seem to be simple silly things, that may seem coincidental, but I don’t believe these were just coincidents.
  1. One day I had walked to the doctor’s office for an appointment for my baby son. By the time we were ready to return home, it had started seriously storming. It was about a mile to my house from the office. I looked outside, and up and asked God, “Please stop the rain until I can get my baby safe at home.” Almost instantly the rain stopped!!! When we got into the house about 1/2 hour later, the rain started back up again!!! Yes, I proudly believe that God did this for me, because I believed He could, and I asked.
  2. My family was getting ready to go to a fellowship and we were running a bit behind. When you have 4 children to prepare, things can get a bit out of sorts. Everyone was ready except for my 3 year old daughter, who could not find her shoes. What child can when all they want to do is play? I had searched high and low for her shoes, several times, to no avail. I had everyone stop what they were doing and come to me. We held hands, and I asked God, “Father, where are my daughter’s shoes?” Not surprised, I heard Him, loud and clear, say, “Look on the floor in her closet, on the right hand side, in the front.” That’s exactly where they were!
  3. My husband hates storms. Before we fixed the basement walls, it would leak really bad. So when one comes, we ask God to lessen the intensity of it. However, one spring day, there was a really bad storm coming our way. My Sister-in-law, my husband, and I were standing outside watching the sky. It was green and black and gray; really dark. The wind was beginning to pick up. One thing you must understand is that Hubby’s sister was not a strong believer. Everything was coincidental to her.
My husband and I boldly took each other’s hands, and prayed, “Lord, please lessen the intensity of this storm so that we may keep our electricity and our trees”. Just as he finished speaking, the clouds parted…. completely separated… like a two pronged fork, over our whole neighborhood. As we watched, about a block or so away the clouds came back together!!! The storm came, but we only got a light spring rain over our houses! and the basement didn’t leak that night! 😀
David says in
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
  1. Never have my children nor I ever gone hungry. Why? Because I trust The Lord to provide for our needs. Every single “holiday”, our tables have been ladened and our refrigerator filled to over flowing! Every day, somehow we have food enough to share with those who don’t, and a roof over our heads..
Yes, I’m bragging. I’m bragging about the love I have for God, for Christ Jesus and for the Truth that He has taught me. I’m bragging about what He has done for me… for you, for all of us in one way or another. He has guided me, chastised, and disciplined me. I have nothing without Him. I am nothing without Him. He IS my all in all in all.
I AM NOT ASHAMED TO BE CALLED ONE OF HIS! You shouldn’t be either.
Why not? think about it. What has Christ Jesus done for you? Everything! The whole Bible is about Him. Make time daily to read it. with your heart open to the Truth.
I would love to hear of how God has blessed you, and how you are a witness for Him.
I hope this has been a help and a blessing to you.
