In the beginning, before there was light, land, or breath, there was power. Real power. Not a concept, not a feeling, not potential, but actual, creating, commanding, living power. And that power didn’t just exist somewhere in the universe, it came out of the mouth of the Most High when He said, “Let there be…” and it was. Ten times in Genesis 1 He spoke, and things obeyed. That’s what real power looks like. It doesn’t negotiate. It moves reality.
Then that same Elohim, righteous, holy, consuming in glory, formed man from the dust, and breathed into him the nishmat chayim, the breath of life. That breath wasn’t just oxygen. That breath carried the authority of the image of God. The moment Adam received it, he didn’t just live, he ruled. He was given dominion. “Subdue the earth. Fill it. Rule over it.” The Hebrew word there, radah, isn’t gentle. It’s the word for treading something down underfoot. It’s dominion. Authority. Not domination like the nations of the world, but a rulership under the rule of YHWH. Shared authority. Not earned, delegated.
But man fell. Not because he lacked power, but because he failed to believe what Elohim had said. The serpent didn’t overpower Adam and Eve, he deceived them into thinking they didn’t already have what they had been given.
And this is still the same lie today. The one the enemy keeps whispering. “You’re not ready.” “You’re not called.” “You’re too broken.” “Too late.” “Not enough.” As if the Ruach ha’Qodesh could be given by grace and yet made powerless by insecurity.
When Moshe stood at the edge of the Red Sea with Egypt pressing behind, he did what we all do: he prayed. Cried out. Waited. But YHWH didn’t say, “Good job, keep praying.” He said, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the people to go forward.” And to Moshe: “Lift up your staff.” In other words, “You already have the power I gave you. Use it.”
That staff wasn’t magic. It was a symbol. Matteh. A rod of authority. A sign of heaven’s endorsement. And when Moshe raised it, in obedience, not emotion, the waters parted. What if he hadn’t lifted it? What if he kept praying for a move, when the move was waiting for him to move?
Later, when Gideon was threshing wheat in hiding, the angel of YHWH didn’t coddle him. He didn’t say, “Take your time and build up courage.” He said, “Go in this your strength.” And then reminded him: “I will be with you.” Because this is what YHWH does, He shows up in our weakness and reminds us that our confidence doesn’t come from our skill. It comes from His sending.
When David ran toward Goliath, he wasn’t confident in his own power. He KNEW God, and what He had given him. He said it clearly: “I come to you in the Name of YHWH Tzeva’ot.” He ran with covenant covering. He wasn’t strong enough to beat Goliath, but he had authority, and heaven backed him up.
And when the prophets stood before kings, or armies, or wicked priests, they never stood in their own name. They spoke because “the Word of YHWH came to me…” They carried fire, not because they lit it, but because heaven ignited it and told them to release it.
Fast forward to Yeshua, Word made flesh, power walking in sandals. When He taught, demons shrieked. When He spoke, storms stopped. When He touched, leprosy left. When He wept, the dead woke up. That’s not theory, that’s dunamis and exousia. Supernatural ability, wrapped in divine authority. And here’s the truth many still don’t believe: He turned to His disciples, still rough, still doubting, still arguing over who’s greatest, and said, “I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy.”
That was before Pentecost. Before they even fully understood who He was. Why? Because authority doesn’t come from your comprehension. It comes from His commission.
And just before He ascended, He left no wiggle room: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go…” In other words, “I have it all. Now I give it to you. Move.”
In Acts, that’s exactly what they did. No budget. No buildings. No security teams. Just boldness. Power. Fire. Not because they felt strong, but because they knew who had filled them. The Ruach fell like wind and flame, and what came out? Preaching. Healing. Miracles. Demons cast out. Dead raised. Truth spoken in the streets. They didn’t just receive the Spirit to feel better. They received power to become witnesses, the kind that doesn’t shut up, back down, or wait for more signs.
And that same power, that same Spirit, that same authority, it hasn’t changed. Because YHWH doesn’t change. What’s changed is us. We’ve learned to wait longer. Pray longer. Analyze more. Sit on Word after Word after Word, and never move. We ask for signs when He’s already given the cross. We ask for confirmation when we’ve already heard His voice. We sit with our lamp oil full, and still wonder when we’ll be allowed to shine.
But you have the power. The same Ruach who hovered over the waters in Genesis 1:2, who filled the prophets, who raised Messiah from the grave, He lives in you. And He’s not passive. He’s not hesitant. He’s not silent. He’s waiting. Not to be stirred up, but to be unleashed.
1 Cor 16 shows how God has given us His Holy Spirit. We ALL, who are born in Christ, have everything… all the manifestions (matters) of His Holy Spirit that we need to do the works Yeshua gave us to do. Healing is the only gift, given only as needed – and asked for.
So again, what are you waiting for?
You’re not too late. You’re not disqualified. You’re not under review. If the blood of Yeshua has cleansed you, if the Ruach has filled you, if the Word has been spoken over you, then Heaven is waiting on you to step forward.
Not in your name.
Not in your strength.
Not in your reputation.
But in His authority.
Lift up what’s in your hand.
Speak what’s in your mouth.
Walk in what’s already been given.
The time of sitting is over.
You have the power.
So… what are you waiting for?
In the Holy name of Yeshua HaMeshiach, GO!
and THAT is…
