God, YHWH, is from everlasting to everlasting, the self-existent Creator of all things. He spoke, and reality obeyed. The heavens, the earth, time, matter, light, and life itself came into being by His word Genesis 1:1–3, Psalm 33:6, John 1:3. Creation was not random, nor accidental. It was ordered, purposeful, and declared good. Humanity was formed in His image, male and female, bearing His likeness, created to walk with Him in trust and obedience Genesis 1:26–27, Genesis 2:7. God breathed into man the breath of life, and man became a living being, a nephesh neh-fesh living soul Genesis 2:7.
Yet mankind chose rebellion. Trust was replaced with independence. The command was broken, and sin entered the world. The Hebrew word ḥaṭṭā’ṯ khat-ta’ath sin, offense against God brought corruption and death Genesis 3:6–7, Romans 5:12. Death spread to all because all sinned. This death was not merely physical, but spiritual separation from God Isaiah 59:2. Scripture declares there is none righteous, no, not one Psalm 14:3, Romans 3:10, and all have fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3:23.
God is holy and just. Sin cannot be ignored. Judgment is required Habakkuk 1:13. Yet God is also merciful and faithful to His covenant love, ḥesed khe-sed steadfast lovingkindness Exodus 34:6–7. From the beginning, God promised redemption. The seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head Genesis 3:15. Through Abraham, all nations would be blessed Genesis 12:3. Through Moses, blood was given for atonement Leviticus 17:11. Through the prophets, a suffering Servant was foretold Isaiah 53:3–12.
That promise was fulfilled in Yeshua HaMashiach.
His name Yēshua ye-shoo-ah YHWH saves reveals His purpose, and Mashiach ma-shee-akh Anointed One identifies Him as God’s chosen King and Redeemer Matthew 1:21, Daniel 9:25. He is the eternal Word, the Logos lo-gos divine Word and self-expression of God John 1:1. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, tabernacled among men John 1:14. Born of a virgin, conceived by the power of God, He fulfilled prophecy Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:35. Fully God and fully man, He lived without sin Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22.
Yeshua proclaimed the Kingdom of God Mark 1:14–15. He taught with authority, not as the scribes Matthew 7:28–29. He healed the sick Matthew 8:16–17, cleansed lepers Luke 17:14, opened blind eyes John 9:35–38, cast out demons Luke 4:41, forgave sins Mark 2:5–7, and raised the dead John 11:43–44. These were signs, sēmeion say-mi-on evidences revealing who He is John 20:30–31.
Yet His mission was not earthly power but eternal redemption. He willingly went to the cross John 10:17–18. He was betrayed, mocked, beaten, and crucified. On the cross, He bore the sin of the world. The Greek word hamartia ha-mar-tee-ah sin, missing the mark was laid upon Him who knew no sin 2 Corinthians 5:21. He became the sacrificial Lamb, amnos am-nos Lamb of God John 1:29. His blood established a new covenant Luke 22:20, fulfilling the meaning of atonement, kippūr kip-poor covering and reconciliation Hebrews 9:12.
Yeshua truly died. His body was laid in the tomb Matthew 27:59–60. Death seemed final. But on the third day, God raised Him from the dead. The Greek word anastasis a-na-sta-sis resurrection speaks of a bodily rising Matthew 28:5–6, Acts 2:24. He appeared alive to many witnesses 1 Corinthians 15:5–8, proving that death had been defeated Revelation 1:18.
He ascended to the Father and now reigns as Lord Acts 1:9–11, seated at the right hand of God Psalm 110:1, Hebrews 1:3. God exalted Him and gave Him the name above every name Philippians 2:9–11. He is mediator between God and man 1 Timothy 2:5, High Priest forever Hebrews 7:25. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead and to restore all things Acts 17:31, Revelation 19:11–16.
The Gospel demands a response. Repentance is commanded. The Greek word metanoia me-ta-noi-ah change of mind and direction calls one to turn from sin toward God Acts 3:19, Luke 13:3. Faith is required. The Greek word pistis pis-tis trust, allegiance, reliance means resting fully in Messiah’s work John 6:29, Ephesians 2:8–9. Salvation is the gift of grace, charis kha-rees unearned favor Romans 6:23, not by works, so no one may boast Titus 3:5.
Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved Joel 2:32, Romans 10:9–13. Those who believe are justified, declared righteous Romans 5:1, forgiven Colossians 2:13, and made new 2 Corinthians 5:17. God gives a new heart, lēv lev inner man Ezekiel 36:26, and places His Spirit within. The Holy Spirit, Ruach HaQodesh roo-akh ha-ko-desh Holy Spirit, seals believers Ephesians 1:13–14, teaches truth John 16:13, empowers obedience Romans 8:11, and produces fruit Galatians 5:22–23.
This Gospel is not behavior modification. It is new birth John 3:3–7. It is not religion. It is reconciliation Romans 5:10. To reject the Son is to remain in death John 3:36. To receive the Son is to receive eternal life 1 John 5:11–12. Messiah declared, “It is finished,” John 19:30, and the empty tomb stands as God’s witness that redemption is complete.
